Santa Necklace

We made some cool Santa Necklaces out of Fimo modelling clay that you bake in the oven. I made this one and decided to give him a black beard instead of a white one! Check it out!!!!

Swimming

I'm so happy that swimming has started up again. I love getting in the water and having fun with my friends, as well as getting some exercise! 

Xmas play

I had so much fun in our Xmas play. I was Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. I really enjoy singing and dancing on stage! 

Summer garden party

We had a fantastic summer garden party. I had my face painted with a spider and spider web and a spider on my arm.

Pilot Bay

I had such a great time when we visited Pilot Bay with the guys group today! The water was nice to paddle. Next time we go I'd love to have an ice cream!

Painting

This is the painting I have been working on this month it is coming along nicely.

Making potato salad

In cooking we made potato salad. It was super easy and super yummy! Just in time for summer too, it will go well with all the bbqs I want to have!

Dr Doolittle

I was like Dr Doolittle when I visited some animals. I had both a baby donkey and a giant St. Bernard dog at my feet together. I also fed the donkeys some carrots. I love animals. 

Recycling

I helped to do Wilrose recycling this week.

Singing superstar

I really enjoyed singing along to some awesome songs. I put my shades on and imagined I was on stage with The Eagles singing Hotel California!!! I rocked! 

Balagan Farm and Kennels

We had a fantastic visit to the Balagan Farm and Kennels in Omanawa.

Last day at woodwork.

Friday was my last day at woodwork and I got to take my fire engine home,.

Marshalls Animal Farm

We had a really lovely time visiting all the animals. The horses were huge and I had so much fun on the tyre zip line!

Elms mission house

We went to visit them elms mission house in town and got to do a tour of the house and grounds. Everything is so old but in really good condition. We learnt about the people who built the house and some history of Tauranga. It was really interesting and I had a great time.

Bus & Lunch

We caught the bus to the Tauranga Citizens Club for lunch. The bus ride fun and I ate a most enormous burger for lunch! Yum!

Drama

 I was a pirate in the drama show! Aaaargh! I was a captain looking for treasure! It was so much fun! 

Sewing

Today I finished my fabric collage. I think it looks great.

Hand cream

I had a go at making my own hand cream today! Because guys can have soft hands too! It smells of grapefruit!

Disco

I had a fantastic disco day. We had pumpkin soup made by the cooking group and garlic bread.

Finished Spiders Web

I'm so happy with this spiders web, complete with a cool spider, that we made! It's going to go in the Wilrose Garden.

Woodwork

I have started my new project, I'm making a fire engine this time around.

Mount Truck Wash

I enjoyed a visit to the Mount Truck Wash. The staff very kindly showed us two trucks getting washed. The big red truck was cool. The horn was really loud.

Woodwork.

Adding the finishing touches to my grasshopper and then there it is, neat Grasshopper ready for me to take home.

Envirohub

Every week we go to the Envirohub in the historic village and help out. Here I am wheeling some organic waste.

A morning at the park

We went to Kulim park and picked up all the rubbish and put it into the rubbish bag and made the park nice and tidy and clean. Once we had done that we had a bit of time to explore the new gym equipment they have set up by the sea for people to exercise on, which is such a cool idea!

We had a fantastic trip to the classic car museum in Hamilton

Sewing

I am making a fabric collage in sewing of a crocodile and a spider in a park.

Drama production

I played the part as the father in our Sound of music drama production. 

The community garden

We have been very busy in the community garden up in Merivale. I picked some yummy rubarb to take home. It's nice to get out in the garden when the weather is nice!

Cooking time!

In cooking class we made frittatas. We put in potato, eggs, mushrooms and cheese on top. I took it home and ate it for afternoon tea. It was really nice. I love cooking class cos we make yummy food

Worm farm gardening.

We were shredding newspaper to use in the worm farm.

Today I practiced stitching with wool. 

Knitting

Here I am with my knitting. I am making a Pom Pom for a Beanie hat. Knitting is fun and a bit tricky but I am getting the hang of it and will be a pro soon!
