My Month June

Kia ora everyone.

I have been to the Greerton Library“Just wanna have fun  sessions and i played board & card games. After toddler/Pepi time I also help put books away too!

I enjoy playing pool at the Marble bar and ten pin bowling with my mates. I continued to work out at Blaze Fitness and  went to Sonic Cinema to watch Paddington In Peru. I laughed so hard alongside all my friends.

I have got some garden time in Project Papatuanuku, keeping things tidy with a little cooking too. We made bok choy and mushroom stir fry. We went on a hikoi to Te Puna quarry and Kopurererua reserve. We checked out tadpoles, insects, birdlife, and native plants that we could eco-source seed from. I like to look for events in Tauranga, we love to plan ahead for our next outdoor adventure. I also checked out a documentary on spiders, you know I love spiders, right!.

Thrown in the mix was rubbish removal at Memorial Park, social time with friends and lunch at Connect20.

As you know  I love to sing and we nailed our iSing Kapahaka performance. A great morning with heaps of support. We did an amazing job and it felt really good. As we say here at Wilrose Centre, Team work makes the dream work!. Till next time, Ka kite ano Jason.

My month May

Kia ora everyone. Another busy month for me.Swimming at Greerton pool with the guys was fun and relaxing. I have been to the inclusive movement group and we played indoor soccer and other games with lots of different people. “Just Wanna have fun’ had some cool things on. I learnt about sign language and watched a documentary on sea lions and did some mindful colouring in. I also learnt about how to grow mushrooms. I played pool at Marble bar with the boys. I did some planting with the guys at coast care in the Mount helping to stop erosion on the sand dunes. Playing cricket and basketball with the boys at Ila park was competitive haha but fun as were the ball games we played at Anzac Park. Connect 20 was great and I enjoyed moving around the tables and chatting.I loved walking through Yatton Park with my mates and checking out the old trees. I went to Sulphur Point and watched the guys sail and socialized with others. My cup is definitely overflowing. I am doing so many cool things. The gym and kapa haka and learning life skills are things that I do consistently and I'm putting lots of effort in every week. Everything I am doing helps me with my personal skills and connections. Jason
