Collecting Manuka Seeds

 I went for a walk at Gordon Carmichael Reserve. I spotted Manuka plants and collected the seed pods to take back to the centre. They have heaps of red seeds in them and when they open we can sow them and grow our own.

Cafe visit

 I had a great morning visiting the cafe in McClarens Falls Patk. I had a cheesecake with chocolate on top and a drink and we chatted to each other and had a look at the Visitors Centre. Yum yum! 

Talentquest

 We had such a fun Talentquest morning with the other centres. I was in a group performance of “BINGO” and was a dog! It was nice to see the other centres! Wilrose won the Talentquest! Yay! 

Music and Singing

Food bank

 This week I went to food bbank and helped to do frozen veggies and seal the bag with the machine. Everyone at food bank is very friendly and I like having a chat and catch up with all the volunteers. 

Historic sites

 I had fun going to some historical sites around the mount with the discovery group. I even saw a Pohutukawa tree that was over 500 years old! It was a great day out in the sun!
